I always get really excited when MAC Cosmetics releases a new collection, it's like Christmas come early no matter what time of the year it is. This month MAC released their Ice Parade collection, which is a plethora for those who love that late fall and winter makeup. As always, they're promoting the collection by making it available in different "bags" which is their way of packaging the product. Some of the bags give you a pressed eye shadow pallet with a lip gloss and a brush, some give you two pressed shadow pallets and a blush, etc.
The thing I love about MAC is that they seem to have these endless limits to their products. You'd think that once you've seen one silver eye shadow you've seen them all; but that's certainly not the case. And because they show this limitless attitude with their product, as a buyer and user of the product I also feel that there are limitless possibilities to what you can create with those colors. I always feel like my face is a canvas when I put on my makeup; now I don't cake it on and turn myself into one of those makeup wearing clowns with big red lips. I thoroughly enjoy creating an inspiring look with my eye shadow's and I blend colors like there's no tomorrow. Below I put a picture of some of my favorite colors that came with the collection. On the right, Shimmermint and Snow Season are great for daytime work looks because they're light and have a somewhat neutral base to them. On the right is the Ice Parade Seduction pallet, which is perfect for when you're spending a night out on the town, or for any of those special occasions that occur when the sun goes down for the evening.
So, if you've got a makeup enthusiast in your life, MAC's Ice Parade is the perfect gift for them! With the right set of tools, they can create a look that's jaw dropping and inspiring on all different levels. You can bet that I'll be using my Ice Parade this season, and making the most out of those sparking colors.
For more information on the collection, you can check out the link to the collection right here and find the combination of colors and lip glosses that are right for you!

"Dancing's" Maks Chmerkovskiy Launches Jewelry Line
I want to get down to the nitty gritty with how much admiration I have for Maks Chmerkovskiy. If you're unsure of who I'm talking about, or you're not a fan of Dancing With The Stars, I highly suggest heading over to youtube and searching him. Aside from the fact that he's been dancing for his entire life, he's probably one of the most incredible performers I've ever had the pleasure of watching; and a very large part of the reason I started dancing again when I started college was because on a chance I turned my TV on and "Dancing" was on and there was Maks creating magic on the ballroom floor.
But, not a lot of people know that Maks isn't just a ballroom dancer; he also owns three very successful dance studios in Dance With Me (Ridgefield, NJ; Soho, NY & Long Island, NY) and a fourth coming soon in LA. I've driven past the Ridgefield location countless times, as it's a block away from my best friends house in north Jersey...so if you live in the Bergen County area of Jersey go look for the studio, and if you're brave enough, go take a lesson or two! I plan on doing just that because I'm dying to learn how to Cha Cha!
And speaking of the Cha Cha, this weeks video of the week is Maks and his partner this season, Soccer Star Hope Solo doing their Cha Cha from week three! And if you want to hear more from Maks about what goes on behind the scenes of "Dancing" and some of his thoughts, you can check out his blog that's posted on TV Guide each week, If you didn't know, now you do. And here's a link:Maks' TV Guide Blog
So now what else could Maks possibly doing that he hasn't already done? Well, he's danced with countless beautiful women, owns four dance studios, and..yes that's right, now he's got a jewelry line that's available for purchase! Before anyone gets too excited, it's a men's line so ladies we're all going to have to hold our excitement for a little while longer. Maks announced via twitter (@MaksimC) that he would be announcing the locations across the country where his line could be purchased, and that list is available on his website www.maksimchmerkovskiy.com so if you're man is into jewelry, ladies I would suggest checking out the pieces that Maks has designed. If you're not convinced yet, here's a little preview courtesy of Maks' website.
(Credit: MaksimChmerkovskiy.com)I'm a girl, and I'll admit right off the bat that these designs are sharp! It doesn't surprise me in the least because Maks is always extremely well dressed, so I would absolutely expect his jewelry collection to be as sharp and flawless as his physical appearance. If you're interested in anything I've just divulged in, whether it be the jewelry, the dance studios, or Maks, then the best place for that information would be his website. There you can find links to Dance With Me studios, information about classes, more information about the jewelry collection, where it's going to be sold and more exciting stuff!
