Happy fall bloggers!
I hope you're all embracing the beautiful fall weather as much as I am! I love when it's cool enough to wear a light jacket or a pair of boots, but you still don't have to bundle up to your neck...such a great season!
I'm not sure how many other people get excited for fall TV but I was glued to my couch on both Monday & Tuesday nights for the season 13 premier of Dancing With The Stars. I've always watched this show with my mom, and we always compare dancers (mostly the pro's) and ramble on about how much we would love to take ballroom dancing lessons, or be able to dance like Cheryl Burke. I was VERY excited to learn that not only would Maks Chmerkovskiy be returning this season, but that his younger brother Val would also be joining the cast. Both gorgeous men, incredibly talented dancers, and so much fun to watch! I'm actually really excited for the cast they chose this season as well; Rob Kardashian (whose ENTIRE entourage of a family was sitting in the first row on Monday night), Ricki Lake, George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Elisabetta, Kristen Cavelleri from The Hills and so many more! Also, in lieu of the pro's; Mark Ballas, Derek Hough, Cheryl Burke, Karina Smirnoff (I do wish I had her last name) and Tony Dovolloni. I remember the first season I watched this show, Cheryl Burke was partnered with Drew Lachey and I wanted everything to do with that awesome 'Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy' freestyle routine they did to clinch the Mirror Ball Trophy. So awesome.
Also, with the fall comes some pretty drastic changes that I'm working on. I wanted to spend time focusing on me and what I needed to do for myself in order to be healthier and happier. I never really had the time to fully focus all my energy on this because when I'd start it between semesters at school ultimately the summer would end and I'd be back to school with one thousand things to do in a 24hour time span, and I would sacrifice that healthy meal, for a bag of mini chips ahoy or pretzles between class that eneded at 7 and practice that started at 8. I'd get home by 10 each night and graze through my refrigerator and pantry and pretty much snack on anything I could find, or my roommate and I would order a crap ton of domino's or chinese food, and just save it for the week...or however long it would last.
Now, by no means am I saying that I was disgustingly huge, but for my standards and what makes me happy, I was in no way happy with what I was looking at. So, with that said I've put myself first, and I'm working with that for now. My main priority is making sure that I keep myself in a healthy lifestyle. That's not to say that I'm never going to touch a cookie, or piece of cake ever again, but I certainly won't be consuming them for meals anymore. It's all about the healthy choices these days!
I hope you're all enjoying yourselves. Whether your back at school, you work full or part time, have kids, or you're focusing on you...I want you all to enjoy yourselves. Do things with the right choices in mind, and make sure that you're happy. =]
